All Bodies Fitting Process

Preparation:

When you schedule your appointment, you will fill out a client intake form that helps me find out more about your needs and preferences, such as what sort of undergarment you are looking for as well as any common complaints you have about the bra(s) or underwear you already own. I am eager to get working on your custom bra or other undergarment! The custom fitting process involves many hours of work behind the scenes tailoring this garment to your unique body. This work is only suitable for you, which is why I collect payment up front.

I can fit your custom bra or underwear in person or virtually. Please note, that if you require virtual services, shipping of samples and mock ups back and forth will be in addition to the prices listed here.

Typical turnaround between each phase of the fitting process is typically two weeks, but may vary depending on workload and our combined availability. We will schedule each subsequent appointment at the conclusion of the previous one.

This fitting process applies to all sizes of bodies, all genders and orientations, and all races - I am here to meet your needs!

Initial Consultation:

Your initial consultation can take place in my home in Red Deer, AB, or virtually through Zoom. If we are meeting virtually, please make sure you have a soft tape measure available. These can be found in any place that sells sewing supplies, such as Michaels or Fabricland.

At your initial consultation, we will go over your intake form together to ensure I understand your needs. We will discuss fabric choices and pattern options. After we have discussed your needs, we will begin taking measurements. If we are meeting at my home, I will take your measurements, and if we are meeting online, I will guide you through the measurement process. Some of these measurements may be taken over the undergarments you are already wearing, some will be taken directly on your skin.

I have certain sizes and styles of test bras made up for clients to try on. Other types of undergarments, and especially underwear, I do not have test garments. If we are meeting in my home AND I have test garments available, we can proceed right into the first fitting.

The initial consultation will take approximately 45 minutes.

First Fitting:

Your first fitting will involve trying on (a series of) test garments to get a better understanding of your size and of any adjustments that I need to make for your first mock up. If this fitting is occurring over Zoom, I will mail a package to you containing the sample(s). You can expect this appointment to take up to 30 minutes.

Subsequent Fittings:

At your next fitting(s), you will try on the mock up custom bra or underwear I have created for you. Depending on the complexity of your fitting needs, the garment may be partially constructed or completely constructed in order to best assess your unique fitting needs. Further fit adjustments will be confirmed. Depending on your fitting complexity, your next appointment may be for you to try on and pick up your final garment! More complex fitting needs may require several fittings to ensure I am best able to fit your shape - when fitting, it is important not to change too many things at once! These fittings will take up to 30 minutes.

Final Fitting:

Once I’ve confirmed the turn around time for your final garment, we will schedule an appointment to pick it up! I will have you try on your custom bra or underwear just to confirm everything is fitting as it should. Take your new undergarment home and wear it with confidence!

Subsequent Garments:

Ready for another custom garment? Subsequent custom bras or underwear follow the same process. If your size and fitting needs are the same, we may be able to jump straight from the initial consultation to the final fitting!
