A Bit About Me
My name is Kaitlyn Heaton (she/her). I got into sewing as a way to create costumes and cosplays, but jumped into garment sewing after my kids were born. After listening to a podcast episode about sewing bras (Love to Sew Podcast Episode 53: featuring Emerald Erin), I really dove down the rabbit hole that is bra sewing and undergarment sewing. My educational background is Engineering, and I love the structure and precision that bra sewing delivers. It’s also awesome to be creative with fabrics and lace. I love having well-fitting clothes - I really notice how much energy goes into worrying about or adjusting clothes that don’t fit me so well.
I launched All Bodies Custom Lingerie from my home in Red Deer, AB, in order to share the joy of custom bras and underwear with my clients. I feel like everyone should have the pleasure of well-fitting clothes, and starting with the foundational garments is an awesome way to really connect with your body.
